From “Shark Tank” to Smart TVs: Maxpro Partners with LG
LG Smart TV owners can now transform their TVs into an immersive fitness experience with the Maxpro portable gym
Fit tech leader Maxpro, maker of the connected fitness system Maxpro SmartConnect and 2021 “Shark Tank” contestant, has partnered with LG Electronics, allowing LG TV users to pair their portable Maxpro gym with their TV for real-time workout tracking with reps, progress and performance data displayed directly on the screen.
Best of all, the experience eliminates the need for smartphone casting or mirroring.
Owners of 2022 and newer LG Smart TV models in 271 countries can also access Maxpro’s workout library, which includes trainer-led programs across strength, cardio, Pilates-inspired methods, recovery and freestyle training. Maxpro says it plans to expand its library to keep workouts fresh and fitness enthusiasts engaged.
“This is really an important partnership for Maxpro that enables millions of LG Smart TV owners around the world to interact with our brand and to connect with our innovative workouts from the comfort of their homes,” Maxpro CEO Nezar Akeel said.
Chris Jo, senior vice president of platform business at LG Home Entertainment Company, noted that the partnership with Maxpro aligns with LG’s vision to deliver innovative lifestyle solutions at scale.
“This collaboration represents a step forward in the evolution of connected fitness,” Jo added.
In addition to Maxpro, LG has collaborated with boutique fitness and wellness franchisor Xponential Fitness and dance cardio brand 305 Fitness.
Home-based fitness is an area that tech leaders have embraced, morphing the TV into a one-stop fitness center.
This year, Samsung has taken a similar approach, inking a deal with functional fitness leader F45, giving its Samsung Daily+ users access to the popular workout. The electronics leader also partnered with Zumba, bringing the famed dance fitness brand to Samsung Health members.
