Concept2 Unveils StrengthErg
The new fitness machine complements Concept2’s product line with an uncomplicated and guided strength training solution
Concept2, a high-performance fitness equipment manufacturer known for its rowing machines, has launched the StrengthErg as a strength training solution that offers a guided workout experience without weight plates, racks or barbells.
The fitness equipment leader unveiled the new StrengthErg at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston this month.
StrengthErg joins Concept2’s lineup of RowErgs, SkiErgs and BikeErgs, which all feature adjustable flywheel technology and a performance monitoring system.
StrengthErg users can perform movements at their chosen intensity as the machine monitors data and provides feedback. It also integrates with Concept2’s free ErgData app and the Concept2 Logbook, allowing users to track reps and analyze their performance.
While the StrengthErg is compact, Concept2 says the machine has been tested to withstand over 1,500 lbs of force and is suitable for fitness enthusiasts and athletes of all levels.
“Our engineering team set out with a goal of creating a product that was compact, durable, safe, and suitable for everyone from elite athletes to those just looking at getting into strength,” social media director Jameson Halnon said of Concept2’s new StrengthErg.
The StrengthErg will be available to ship in early 2025 and retail for $1350 without a Performance Monitor (PM5) or $1500 with a PM5.
Concept2, which has been in the fitness equipment game since the late 1970s, accommodates franchises of all sizes. The company has collaborated with several leading franchises over the years, including Row House, UFC Gym, F45 Training and MADabolic.
