Two different packages are available for consumers who’d like a dedicated health advisor

Lab leader Quest Diagnostics is expanding into personalized health support with its latest service, Health Coaching, now available on questhealth.com.

The new offering connects consumers with board-certified health advisors who provide tailored guidance and resources to help users achieve individual health goals. The program can focus on areas such as general wellness, weight management, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes or high cholesterol.

Users can enhance their Health Coaching experience by incorporating lab work into their coaching plan. Although purchasing a Quest test or sharing prior lab results with the advisor is optional, users are encouraged to share results for increased personalization, although Quest notes that advisors can’t make clinical recommendations.

The service is available in two packages: a 4-session package for $225 or a 6-session package for $275. Both options include a dedicated health advisor for one-on-one calls, regular text and email updates to keep users on track, a welcome kit featuring training booklets and a stretch band, weekly modules, and curated digital content.

“As many as 60% of Americans say they want health coaching, yet the majority have never had the service offered to them by a healthcare provider or employer,” said Richard Adams, senior vice president and general manager of Quest Consumer. “Changing behavior is often critical to preventing chronic diseases and achieving better health. Questhealth.com gives individuals the ability to identify health risks via lab tests, and now they can also engage certified health advisors to develop a plan to help reduce those risks to ultimately achieve better health.”

In addition to the new health coaching service, Quest gives consumers the ability to purchase lab tests without a doctor’s visit. Results are loaded online, although there is an option to be review the findings with an independent physician.
